What is a TOD?
Triumph Over Disaster (TOD) is a surrogate server system
in the event of your main File Server suffering a
catastrophic failure. Do you need to protect your
critical data?
How does it work?
We install, manage and monitor a TOD Network Attached
Storage device on your site onto which we backup a snapshot
of your main server every 15 minutes. Should your
Server fail, then we will respond immediately by delivering
the redundant, fully functional Server from our site to
yours and we can have you back in action in as little as 10
minutes.
What other options do I have?
The alternative (for which you are fully covered under
our Silver contract) would be to repair and rebuild the
server from the last good overnight backup. However, it
takes time to build a stable Server platform from an
existing linear tape.
